So, I don't know if I am in the right section to start this thread. But here goes:
I have been noticing that the IFB leaders are freaking out lately. The pastors are preaching big time on the Millennials. AND those that at one time didn't associate with each other are starting to unite. For example, Crown uniting with Hammond. Bob Jones aligning with Crown.
The movement is dying, y'all. I really think we are seeing them take their last gasping breaths. In twenty years, I don't think the movement will even exist at all. Maybe a few stray churches here and there. What do you think?
Also, I am curious. What camp of IFB do you all hail from? I am from the Raynes' (Pleasant View Baptist in SC) camp which would include guys such as: Billy Ball, Billy Goolesby, Sammy Allen, Larry Raynes, Rudy Smith, Dale Massengale, et al. They were closely aligned with the Tabernacle Baptist group: Harold Sightler, Billy Kelly, Olver B. Green, et al.
I also went to BJU. Funny thing is that was considered a "liberal" move for me by people I grew up around. I even had a preacher warn me about becoming liberal because of going to BJU. A girl in my class signed my yearbook my senior year saying "Don't go all liberal on us" and my principal at my Christian school wouldn't let me wear a BJU hoodie to school during my senior year because "they aren't KJV only". Lol. To think that there is a group out there that thinks BJU is liberal!!! Hahahaha.
I have come a LONG way since those days. Funny thing is, I guess I really did become a liberal. I guess they were right. HAHAHAHA.
What about you all?
