Yes. And some of us never stop having intrusive thoughts.

The minute of mindfulness encourages you to acknowledge your thoughts with, "Hmm." then immediately return your focus to your breathing.
You'll find it gets easier to shift focus back to breathing, and that the intrusive thoughts become less frequent.
